Welcome to the Bridge Learning Campus website.
The aim of any website is to be informative and to provide an effective and useful communication channel between the Campus and you the reader. You may be a current parent or carer or someone looking to secure a place for your child at a school of your choosing. Whoever you are and whatever your interest in the Bridge Learning Campus I hope that the site fulfils these aims.
We are all very proud to be associated with the Bridge Learning Campus as it is a rather unique place, after all we provide education and learning for children coming to us for their very first experience of formal learning in our nursery provision up to the age of 16, when students leave us having taken a full range of GCSEs. This is what we call an all through school and the Bridge was the first of its kind in Bristol and one of the first in the UK.
As parents, we want the best quality of education for our children. At Bridge Learning Campus we aim to deliver great outcomes regardless of children's starting points: we ensure that the brightest students flourish - move onto A Levels and succeed at University; but we never forget that every child matters and never give up on anyone. We review the curriculum regularly to make sure children are learning everything they need to in order to progress academically, but also become good citizens and contributors to society.
Our students are well behaved and supportive of each other; visitors to the school comment on how warm and friendly the school feels. Our expectations and standards are high and we will not compromise on these.
Of course going to school is not just about what happens in a classroom it is also about the all-round experiences and opportunity that a school can provide. There are many opportunities for children to collaborate together - through Houses, in their learning, clubs and societies. For the past few years we are home to Bristol Bears Rugby Academy; we also share our site with New Fosseway Special School and the City of Bristol Gymnastics Centre. We are a licensed centre for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and for the last four years have had more students completing the award at both Bronze and Silver level than any other state school in Bristol.
Bridge Learning Campus is part of Trust in Learning (Academies) multi academy trust which supports other City of Bristol schools. The Trust provides direct support and challenge to the Bridge Learning Campus in ensuring that its vision and commitment to its local community is achieved.
We hope that the site provides you with the information you are looking for, but if it does not then please just get in touch with us.
