Trust in Learning
Trust in Learning is Bristol based and has a long term commitment to education in Bristo. It's partners are City of Bristol College, University of the West of England and Bristol City Council.
They are experienced in delivering lifelong learning and education for all ages and have an excellent track record of delivering high quality outcomes.
The commitment from Trust partners is to ensure that the Bridge Learning Campus delivers its vision and secures long term success and increased opportunities for the community in and around the campus.
Trust in Learning supports the Governing Bodies of the campus in developing the capacity of Governors so that they can more effectively support the senior leadership of the campus schools.
There will be two public meetings to discuss the proposals at Bridge Learning Campus Secondary from 6.00pm on Monday 14th May, and at Orchard School Bristol from 6.00pm on 15th May. You are most welcome to attend either session to hear the Sponsor's proposals for how their education vision and management of both Academies will be delivered.
Copies of the consultation leaflet can be downloaded from the consultation web site, www.trustinlearningconsultation.org, together with a copy of the consultation questionnaire which can be used to provide feedback either by returning your questionnaire to Bridge Learning Campus or Orchard School Bristol or by using the online facility
This consultation is being co-ordinated by Appleyards on behalf of the Sponsor. Appleyards will ensure that all comments and questions are recorded and taken into account when the Sponsor presents its conclusions to the Department for Education, who will make the final decision about whether the Academies will open.
The consultation period ends on 29th June 2012 so if you have any comments or feedback, please ensure that you respond to the consultation before that date.
If you require an individual meeting with our consultation team regarding these proposals, please contact me using the details below.
Yours faithfully
Judith Stradling

Trust Status just means that instead of being directly controlled by the Local Authority, both the campus and schools are run directly by the respective governing bodies and are supported in this by the Trust members - University of the West of England, City of Bristol College and Bristol City Council.
The Trust members have a responsibility to help appoint a governing body.
We have 2 governing bodies on the Campus - one for our Primary and Secondary, and one for New Fosseway, our special school.
Both governing bodies are made up of:
Parent Governors
Staff Governors
Local Authority Governors, and Trust Appointed Governors
Chair of Governors for BLC Primary & Secondary - Caroline Jenkins
Clerk to the Governors - Jacqueline Dibble
Chair of Governors for New Fosseway School - Ian Button
Clerk to the Governors - Sue Clevely
