We work with students who have a wide variety of needs, associated with Severe learning difficulties. Many have autism and some very sensory requirements.
We provide the small, specialist learning environment which meets not only their education but also medical, social and core needs.
There are also many opportunities to be part of lessons and activities with their mainstream peers which has led to a number of friendships developing.
We have a highly skilled and experienced staff team who are trained to use many additional means of communication in order to meet our students needs e.g. Makaton signing and PECS (Picture Exchange System.)
Our curriculum is very person centred and helps our students to become as independent as they possibly can be. We pride ourselves on our happy welcoming atmosphere that enables students to feel secure and valued. They then have the courage to make progress.
