Hop, Skip and Jump is a play and support centre for children with special needs and their families. The centre is purpose built with a large hall, sensory rooms, a craft room, soft play therapy room and quiet areas for parent/carers. The staff are very supportive of non-disabled siblings. ‘Consistent favourite in the holidays as it's just an easy place to be.' Parent.

Kodachi Special Needs Judo works with children and young people from the age of 7yr old. Sessions run on Thursday nights from 6.30 - 8.00pm.

Call for membership and further details. This is a purpose built playground which provides a multi-sensory centre for all children who have special needs in a totally secure environment for play and stimulation. (Membership is one off cost of £2.50).
Parents who have visited have said that it's a ‘fantastic, secluded playground where our children play safely'.
Bournstream
Bournstream is a unique outdoor adventure play site only the half a mile out of Wotton-Under-Edge, set in a hidden valley bordered by fields and woodland. Bournstream play site is not open to the general public. Its dedicated use is for children and young people with disabilities or special needs - for their families, carers, respite groups and special schools. Freja told us about this playground, we have taken classes to visit and they enjoy it.

You will them be sent joining details - including a date to come over to the play site and a copy of our site rules. There is a one-off payment of £10, when you first come.
Cinema Exhibitors' Association (CEA)
Their Card entitles the holder to one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema. To apply for the card a person must either be in receipt of Disability Living Allowance or be registered as a blind person. The card is valid for one year from the issue date and costs £5.50.

They offer opportunities for children with learning disabilities who live in and around Keynsham and the surrounding areas. They provide their members a wide variety of sporting, social and fun activities. Organsing holidays and day trips that would normally be inaccessible to many of those who attend. Mencap also provide specially adapted transport to and from venues, for wheelchair users and those with poor mobility.

The Cubs and Scouts meet on a Monday between 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The Explorer Scouts, Network Scouts and Scout Fellowship meet on Tuesday between 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Swimming at Keynsham

They run a disability session on Sunday mornings from 11.30 - 12.30, under 18 cost £1 and over 18 is £1.50. Three lifeguards are available and Yvonne is a disabled swimming instructor.
