This is the school's uniform policy as approved by the board of governors and following consultation with students and parents.  In the event of any ambiguity, the final decision rests with the Headteachers.

  • Plain white polo shirt with the school logo on chest.
  • Plain navy blue sweatshirt with the school logo.
  • Conventional plain black leather or leather substitute shoes (canvas shoes or trainers are not acceptable) - no logos, flashes or excessive decoration)
  • Also with heels/laces that are suitable for a busy building.
  • Shoes must be of a traditional design.

Phase 4 (Years 9 - 11)

  • Black trousers or skirts (of traditional design, without fashion additions. No denim and no skin tight designs, skirts should be knee length or longer and trousers ankle length).
  • Plain white collared shirt (shirt should not be fitted and should button to the top) and school tie.
  • V neck navy blue jumper with the school logo.
  • Conventional plain black leather or leather substitute shoes (see phase 3 above).

Hair styles

Hair should be out of the eyes and of a natural colour which includes any form of dyeing or highlighting. The school acknowledges cultural and religious diversity, however sculptured or patterned hairstyles are not permitted.

Following a consultation with the school council and governors, any hair student wanting to dye their hair should first consult the new colour chart - just see your tutor.
