Meet our Deputy Head Boy and Girl

Deputy Head Girl - Bethany McDonald

Hi, I am the new Deputy Head Girl of Bridge Learning Campus. My name is Bethany McDonald and I am extremely excited about the year ahead of me. I feel exceptionally proud to have been chosen for this role. I haven't attended this school from the start of year seven but from the beginning of my time throughout the school I feel that the school has treated me with great respect. I feel very privileged to be attending such a fantastic school with such an enormous community feel to it.

The environment within the school is a friendly and welcoming one, with many great student and teacher relationships. All of which have benefited my education throughout the years as well as various opportunities that are offered such as ski trips, French and Spanish trips, and a variety of sports trips to many locations. These educational trips benefit all of the students academically and also give them a fun experience that they will remember forever.

As I begin my new role as Deputy Head Girl, I naturally face new challenges, responsibilities and duties. I am very excited and nervous; similar to how I felt on my first day at school, but I am sure that I am going to settle down into the role as well as I did into the school. I look forward to the year ahead and will try to do my best to do the role justice.

Deputy Head Boy - Calum Chiddy

My name is Calum Chiddy and I feel very fortunate to be appointed deputy head boy of Bridge Learning Campus 2011/2012. Since joining BLC in 2007 I have always been a hard working, punctual student, being easy to approach and well respected throughout my years. I was appointed house captain of Pero for the 2010/2011.

I find this role fits me quite well as it needs an open minded team player and I feel I have these qualities.

In year 7 I dyed my hair pink for charity and have the idea of dressing up as Shaun the sheep this year. I hope as deputy head boy I give students the inspiration they need to achieve their best and maybe become the next deputy head boy being proud to be at BLC.
