Let's Get Cooking Club

'Let's Get Cooking" wins a local sponsor!

The Let's Get Cooking club is in it's third year here at The Bridge. We will shortly have to be self funding so have been looking at ways to raise club funds.

We held a cake sale in aid of this and donated half the profits to the Year 11 prom fund. A massive Thank You to all those who bought our cakes on the day.

We have also been looking for sponsorship and we are delighted to say that our local Co-op, at Beland Drive in Whitchurch, has agreed to sponsor us by giving us £20 a week to buy our groceries.

Neville, the manager, was really keen to get involved with local schools as it's a project that head office has set up and it gives something back to the local community!

We are very greatful for the sponsorship and we will be inviting the staff there to come along to our club sessions to see what we do. Neville also donated £40 worth of products for prizes for our 'Ladies night' raffle.

Being involved with the Co-op doesn't stop there either. We have registered our school for 'The Green Schools Revolution' which provides day trips called 'From Farm to Fork', which is an outdoor experience to see where our food comes from.  We only have to provide transport.

We can also learn about the enviroment and renewable energy at the wind farm in Coldham Cambridge. And we can get free 'walking bus' packs and on line resources plus much more.
