At Bridge Learning Campus, we are keen to give our students an opportunity to learn a foreign language. Our first and obvious choice is French because it is the first language you need when you cross the Channel!
We want our students to learn French because:
Approximately 45% of English vocabulary comes from French.: as we learn French, we also enhance our grammar and vocabulary skills in English.
Knowing French increases our chances of communicating in a non-English-speaking country. French is one of the world's major international languages. Over 200 million people in 43 countries on five continents speak French.
A knowledge of French can open university doors: important research, careers in medicine, the environment, business, engineering, and science and technology are enhanced with a knowledge of French.
The vast majority of Europeans speak two or more languages: being part of Europe implies learning a second language.
French is the language of the future: When deciding on a foreign language for work or school, consider that French is the language that will give you the most choices later on in your studies or your career.
