Clifton House

Clifton attendance is up to nearly 93% overall which is great news, and gives us all a target for next year. We are clearly achieving, because we have managed to earn thousands of House merits throughout the past academic year.

Being ready to learn is vitally important to all students at BLC, so please make sure you have the correct school uniform in September, have a proper sized school bag, the correct equipment and are punctual at all times (especially in the morning for tutor time).

Because your success is so important to us, we will not be giving permission to any students to take holidays during term time next year. We will also expect all students to meet their homework responsibilities.

I think that this year, we have grown immensely as a group within Clifton house. Everything was very new (vertical tutoring, houses as opposed to year groups, lessons taught in phases), and I feel we are now better for it. The changes that have happened over the past 12 months have not slowed us down, or prevented us from reaching our goals. Those changes and challenges have strengthened us and brought us together. We need to recharge our batteries over the summer, and get ready to commit ourselves to what lies ahead: Another fantastic year of achievement, learning and fun at BLC.
