Phase 2 Team 1

Team 2 is made up of four classes: Dove, Magpie, Jackdaw and Woodpecker classes. We are children from Year 2 and 3; ages 6 to 8 years old.

Dove Class

Miss Hall- Class teacher

We are Dove Class. We're a lively but friendly bunch. We're proud of our work and our manners. Everybody is welcome in our classroom and we treat others with kindness and respect. We know that sometimes you make mistakes and that they help us learn. We always try our hardest to make each piece of work our very best. Here are some of the things we think about our class:

"Dove class are really confident when they are writing. "

"We are the most handsome class in all the schools in the world!"

"Most of the time we work really hard"

"Sometimes we're a little bit naughty but we're usually excellently behaved"

Magpie Class

Ms Legg - Class teacher

In Magpie class we like to work as bees to create a fun and caring class. We are lively and enjoy singing and going on school trips. We work hard to make sure our writing is as exciting as possible by using our WOW experiences to inspire us, like Jack and the Beanstalk and our visit from Farmer Nick. We having been using our EELI skills and the 3bs to help us to become better learners. Please ask us about them.

Jackdaw Class

Miss Pip- Class teacher

Jackdaws is a wonderful class because it looks pretty. We are very lively and we like playing football with Tommy from Bristol City. Our favourite way of learning is going on exciting trips. Jackdaw class are very proud of their appearance as we feel we look very smart in our school uniform and we think we are very smart (Clever!). We are really good storytellers and we love performing. We are really trying to be independent, we think this is:

"When you're doing your work and you don't need any help."

"It makes you more confident."

"Working on your own."

"We know what to do when we get stuck - phone a friend."

"Try your best."

We are getting better all the time!

Woodpecker class

Mrs Munnings - class teacher

Hello we are woodpecker class and here are a few things you might like to know about us... we are a class of thirty Year 2 and Year 3 children who 'are great artists and take pride in our work' (Maddie). 'We are good listeners'(Dylan). Our topic this term is Fantastic Farming and we really enjoyed our visit from farmer Nick especially meeting Mary the chicken! We have been trying our best with our writing, and have had a go at writing character descriptions and story endings all about the story Farmer Duck!We have been remembering to use speech marks and wow words to make our writing really interesting! We are really looking forward to our trip to the farm- 'I am hoping to see a sheepdog' (Mariam). We all loved the Jack and the Beanstalk production- 'Breathtaking giant' (Kallen), 'funny' (Tyler), 'brilliant' (Riley) 'it was a humongous beanstalk' (Zuzanna).
