Phase 1 Year 1

Hello and welcome to Year 1. We have two classes in year 1; Swift and Swallow Classes. Our children are 5 and 6 years old. Just like the birds we are named after we are learning to fly high and travel the distance with our learning.

We are a fun loving class with lots of energy and excitement to learn. We are working towards becoming independent learners, to solve our own problems and to prioritise and manage our own time. We are made up of readers, writers, gymnasts, dancers, singers to name a few and we hope to shine this year in year 1.

We are a happy and fun loving year one class that thrives on exploring. In our class you will find many emerging artists, adventurers, dancers, mathematicians, authors, comedians and sculptors. We love to spend our time doing hands on projects, imagining and playing while we learn. During the week, you might see us out and about on field trips, visiting the gym center or taking nature walks. Wherever you may meet us, when you do, you will find many friendly, determined, courageous, happy-go-lucky, hard working independent learners.
